What I’m Reading: The New York Times

The House voted today to pass the health care bill that allows insurance companies to deny coverage to patients for pre-existing and other health conditions and pushes them into a high risk pool. The bill will cover $8 billion of the costs of the high risk pool but those costs are estimated to be $25 billion. It's estimated that 150,000 Missourians with private health insurance could lose their coverage in 2018. However, passage by the Senate is in doubt

All of the House GOP voted for it:
Congresswoman Ann Wagner - YES
Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer - YES
Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler - YES
Congressman Sam Graves - YES
Congressman Billy Long - YES
Congressman Jason Smith – YES
